Safeguarding, Confidentiality & Emotional Care
Emotional Safety & Confidentiality
SuperSensory Awakening (SSA) is delivered within a strict ethical, safeguarding, and confidentiality framework.
-
All sessions are private and confidential.
-
What your child shares is treated with care, respect, and discretion.
-
Parents are kept appropriately informed, while preserving the child’s emotional trust.
The therapeutic space is designed to be safe, contained, and non-judgmental. Children are never pressured to share more than they feel ready to.
🛡️ Safeguarding Responsibility
As therapeutic practitioners working with children, we have a professional safeguarding responsibility.
Confidentiality is respected at all times, except in rare situations where there is:
-
Concern for a child’s safety or wellbeing
-
Risk of harm to the child or others
-
Information suggesting abuse, neglect, or serious risk
In such cases, we are required to act in the child’s best interest, following safeguarding procedures and legal guidance. Parents will be informed and involved wherever possible.
🤍 Working Together as Partners
Safeguarding is not about fear - it is about care, protection, and responsibility.
SSA works best when:
-
Children feel safe to be themselves
-
Parents feel informed and supported
-
Clear ethical boundaries are in place
SSA is gentle, child-led, and consent-based.
Children are never forced to visualise, imagine, or perform.
Sessions are adapted to each child’s emotional capacity and sensory profile.
No diagnosis is made. SSA complements educational and therapeutic support.
Your child’s emotional and physical safety always comes first.
